I know that I'm not doing so well on keeping up with the blogging. The days are just too short. I think the Senior pics for the Class of 2010 has come to an end. It's hard to believe graduation is just a month away. Senior Class of 2011 pics will be kicking off in a couple of weeks. If you know a Senior needing pictures send them my way!
Family Sessions are under way as well. It's finally starting to green up outside. Set up your session today!

Seniors, Seniors, call all Seniors!!!
Gearing up for 2011 Senior Season. I can't believe the 2010 school year is almost over. I had 18 awesome Seniors this year. A big jump from the 4 I did in 2009 when I hadn't even thought about doing Seniors yet. Now, I've realized that I love photographing kids of all ages (and the whole family). Seniors, I can't imagine how proud your parents have to be of you...I'm proud of you and I only did your pictures :0) Enjoy the last weeks of your Senior Year!

Ok, I believe Koobface has left the computer (knock on wood)! Hopefully, I'm back on track and I will be working to finish the update on my website as well as updating my fan page. I can't believe I have not shared all the beautiful clients that I photographed in 2009. Things were so crazy with building a house, I didn't even realize how many clients I had photographed. Thank you to all of my wonderful clients for being patient with me this fall when things did get crazy. I've been working hard to simplify my web and the ordering process as well as attending some workshops and learning tons of new stuff. Things are starting to pick up with the photographing so I promise to share in a more timely manner :0) Keep an eye out for many new things to come!

I'm back! With a better view and in better focus.
Ok, so as promised I'm going to be more faithful to my blog and sharing with you the view from my side of the lens. I can't believe that it's been practically a year since I started this blog and I only wrote one thing on here. Lord knows, that I have had plenty going on to share.
Let's back up and review my past 5 years. 2005, after dating my now husband Jeff for 3 years, we (all 4 of us, Austin, Brady, Jeff and I) tied the knot. 2006 brought along my 3rd of God's blessings (really the 4th, because I consider Jeff a blessing as well), Carson Jeffrey. He was born in the fall, a week before Jeff and I's 1st Anniversary. I couldn't have given him a better anniversary gift, huh? Since it was such a good gift, I thought I would give him another. 2007, Dana Marie was born just weeks before our 2nd anniversary. 2008, yep, you guessed it I still couldn't come up with a better gift and I know this one was a little late but I stilled delivered, almost at home, another beautiful baby Eva Lynn. 2009 came along and my body was whooped to say the least, and my mind, well it was and still is a little frazzled so I told him it was time for him to come up with a good anniversary gift. So he built us a house... actually a HOME. Our forever home. It wasn't easy with 5 kids and very busy schedules but we did it and a lot with our own hands and the hardworking hands of great family and friends.
So now for 2010 and I know I'm a little behind because you are suppose to plan ahead not after you are 2 months into the year, but getting organized has been a tough task for me and I still got a long ways to go. However, this year I've decided will be a year of simplifying and slowing things down a bit and enjoying the blessings God has given me. My last 5 years have just been a whirlwind of life changes.
Oh, I think I forgot to mention that shortly after Dana was born, I took my hobby and passion for photographing in a new direction. I became a part of a company that I am very proud of called Bella Baby Photography. It's seen as much growth and reward as my family life over the past couple of years. I'm extremely proud to be a member of a family of not only amazing photographers but amazing women and men and have a job that brings so much meaning to my life. Working with newborns and new Moms and Dads and being a part of such a miracle of life brings so much richness to my life. A richness that cannot even be measured in dollars and cents. From that richness, I have found a desire and need to expand on my photography and work for family, friends, parish members and my local community. I want to capture special moments, smiles and love that families will be able to look back on for many years to come. I want to help families preserve those special moments and give back the only physical form of a minute of their lives that you can give. We can't freeze time or go back in time, but we can most definitely document and preserve time with a photograph.
I never would have thought that after 35 years, I would finally realize what I want to be when I grow up. Although, I wouldn't consider myself grown up yet. I think there is always room to grow. Even if I know I'm not going to get any taller and I sure hope I don't get any wider, there's lot of growing for me from the inside out.
I used to think that God passed me over when he was handing out talents, but my talent has been with me all along. I just didn't see it. Thankfully, a few others did and a job happened to fall in my lap just at the right time that made it become visible to me.
Now, I'm constantly looking for ways to grow and perfect the gift God has given me, but I always want to keep it real and natural. In the coming days on my blog, I will be highlighting photo shoots I had from a busy fall and showing you lots of new things I will be offering. I've also been challenged to describe what kind of photographer I am. I thought there was only one kind of photographer, but much to my surprise there are many, many, many styles and specialities. I will also be sharing with you my style and what I specialize in. Not every photographer will be the right photographer for you and not every client will be the right client for the photographer. Stay tune to find out if I'm the right photographer for you.
